Setting Up Referral Campaigns

Referral campaigns let you turn your existing customers into a marketing channel. Create a referral program that rewards customers for sending new business your way, define incentives, set terms and conditions, and activate the campaign to start generating word-of-mouth leads.

Before you start:

  • You need administrator access to create and manage referral campaigns.
  • Decide on your reward structure (discount, cash, credit, etc.) before setting up the campaign.

How Referral Programs Work

A referral program in FieldPromax connects your existing customers with potential new customers through a structured incentive system. When an existing customer refers someone who becomes a paying customer, both parties can receive rewards that you define.

The program is managed at the company level -- you create or update a single referral program with your company's terms, and it applies across your customer base.

Create a Referral Campaign

  1. Navigate to MarketingReferralsCampaigns.
  2. Click New Campaign to start building your referral program.
  3. Enter a Campaign Name that describes the program (for example, "Summer Referral Bonus" or "Customer Rewards Program").
  4. Click Save to create the campaign.

Result: The referral campaign is created and you can configure its details.

Define Rewards and Incentives

  1. In the campaign settings, specify the Reward Type (for example, a dollar amount, a percentage discount on future services, or a service credit).
  2. Set the Reward Amount or value for each successful referral.
  3. Optionally define rewards for the referred customer as well (for example, "Refer a friend and you both get $50 off").
  4. Click Save to apply the reward configuration.

Set Terms and Conditions

  1. Define the criteria for a referral to qualify as "successful" (for example, the referred customer must complete their first paid work order).
  2. Set any expiration dates or limits on the number of referrals per customer.
  3. Add any additional terms that apply to your program.
  4. Click Save to finalize the terms.

Activate the Campaign

  1. Review all campaign settings: name, rewards, and terms.
  2. Click Activate to make the campaign live.

Result: The referral campaign is active. Your customers can now participate by referring new customers, and referrals will appear in the Tracking Referrals page.

Tip: Promote your referral program through your marketing email campaigns. Use the Email Campaigns feature to announce the program to your entire customer base.
