Referral settings control the global configuration for your referral program. From here you can enable or disable the referral feature, set default program parameters, and configure notification preferences for referral activity.
Before you start:
- You need administrator access to modify referral settings.
How to Access
Navigate to Marketing → Referrals → Settings.
Enable or Disable the Referral Program
The referral settings page includes a master toggle that controls whether your referral program is active. When disabled, customers cannot submit new referrals and the referral option is hidden from customer-facing features.
- On the Referral Settings page, locate the Enable Referral Program toggle.
- Switch the toggle to On to activate the program, or Off to deactivate it.
- Click Save to apply the change.
Result: The referral program is enabled or disabled across your entire FieldPromax account.
Default Program Settings
Default settings establish the baseline configuration for your referral program. These defaults apply unless overridden by specific campaign settings.
- Set the Default Reward Type (for example, cash, service credit, or discount).
- Set the Default Reward Amount for successful referrals.
- Define the Qualification Criteria that determines when a referral counts as successful.
- Click Save to store your defaults.
Notification Preferences
Configure how your team is notified about referral activity. Timely notifications help you follow up on new referrals quickly.
- Choose which events trigger notifications: new referral submitted, referral qualified, referral payment due.
- Select the notification method: email, in-app notification, or both.
- Specify which team members receive referral notifications.
- Click Save to apply notification settings.
Result: Your team receives notifications for the selected referral events through the chosen channels.
Tip: Enable notifications for new referral submissions so your sales team can respond within minutes. Quick response times significantly improve referral conversion rates.
Program Terms Display
The terms and conditions you define in your referral campaigns are displayed to customers when they participate. Ensure your terms clearly explain what constitutes a successful referral, how rewards are delivered, and any limitations or expiration dates.
