View, create, and send estimates directly from the Field Promax Plus mobile app. Add line items, review totals, and email estimates to customers while you are still on-site.
Before you start:
- You must be logged in to the Field Promax Plus app.
- Your user account must have permission to create estimates. Check with your administrator if you do not see the Estimates option.
How to Access
Tap the Menu icon and select Estimates from the side menu. The estimates list shows all estimates assigned to you or created by you.
View Estimates List
The estimates list displays each estimate with the customer name, estimate number, total amount, and current status (Draft, Sent, Approved, Rejected). Tap any estimate to open its full detail.
Create a New Estimate
- On the estimates list, tap the + button or the floating action button.
- Select a Customer from the list or search by name.
- Enter a Description for the estimate (for example, "Kitchen remodel - Phase 1").
- Select a Job Type to categorize the work.
- Tap Save to create the estimate.
Result: A new estimate is created and you are taken to the estimate detail page where you can add line items.
Add Line Items
- On the estimate detail page, tap Add Product or Add Line Item.
- Search for a product or service from your catalog.
- Set the Quantity and verify the Rate.
- Tap Save to add the item.
- Repeat for each product or service you want to include.
The estimate total updates automatically as you add line items.
Send Estimate to Customer
- Once you have finalized the line items, tap the Send button on the estimate detail page.
- The app opens an email composer with the estimate attached as a PDF.
- Verify the customer's email address is correct.
- Add a personal message if desired.
- Tap Send to deliver the estimate.
Result: The customer receives the estimate via email. The estimate status changes to Sent. The customer can approve or request changes through the customer portal.
Tip: Creating estimates on-site while speaking with the customer leads to faster approvals. You can show them the estimate on your device, then send it immediately while you are still at the location.
View Estimate Details
The estimate detail page shows the complete breakdown including the customer's contact information, service address, all line items with quantities and rates, subtotal, tax, and grand total. You can also see the estimate's approval status and any change requests from the customer.
