Work Orders on Mobile

View your assigned work orders, update their status through each stage, add products, take photos, capture customer signatures, and complete jobs entirely from your mobile device.

Before you start:

  • You must be logged in to the Field Promax Plus app.
  • Work orders must be assigned to you by an administrator or dispatcher.

How to Access

Tap Work Orders from the bottom navigation bar or the side menu. The work order list shows all jobs assigned to you, sorted by schedule date.

View Assigned Work Orders

The work order list displays a card for each job with the customer name, job type, scheduled date and time, service address, and current status. Use the filters at the top to narrow the list by status, date, or job type. Tap any card to open the full work order detail.

Open Work Order Detail

The work order detail page is organized into tabs:

  • Summary — customer information, job description, attached documents, and barcode.
  • Schedule — appointment times, actual arrival and departure times, trip details, and a schedule timer.
  • Products — line items for parts and services used on the job.
  • Invoice — invoice details, line items, tax, signature, and email options.
  • Components — equipment or components associated with the work order.

Update Work Order Status

As you progress through a job, update the status to keep dispatch and the office informed:

  1. Open the work order detail.
  2. Tap the Status button at the top of the page.
  3. Select the next status from the available options:
    • Accept — acknowledge that you have received the assignment.
    • In Route — indicate you are traveling to the job site.
    • In Process — mark that you have arrived and started working.
    • Complete — finish the job and record the completion.

Result: The work order status updates in real time. Administrators and dispatchers see the change immediately on the web dashboard.

Add Products

  1. On the work order detail, tap the Products tab.
  2. Tap Add Product.
  3. Search for the product or service from your catalog.
  4. Set the Quantity and verify the Rate.
  5. Tap Save to add the line item to the work order.

Take Photos

  1. On the work order detail, tap the camera icon or navigate to the Summary tab.
  2. Tap Take Photo to open the device camera.
  3. Capture a photo of the job site, equipment, or completed work.
  4. The photo is uploaded and attached to the work order automatically.

You can take multiple photos for before and after documentation.

Capture Customer Signature

  1. Navigate to the Invoice tab on the work order detail.
  2. Tap the Signature section.
  3. Hand the device to the customer and ask them to sign with their finger on the signature pad.
  4. Tap Save to attach the signature to the work order.

Result: The customer's signature is recorded and appears on the invoice and work order PDF.

Tip: Always capture a customer signature before marking the work order as Complete. This provides proof of service delivery and reduces disputes.

Add Notes

On the Summary tab, you can add notes about the work performed, issues encountered, or follow-up actions needed. These notes are visible to administrators on the web interface.
