If you need to permanently close your FieldPromax account, this guide walks you through the process. Account deletion removes your data from the system and cancels your subscription. Because this action is irreversible, review the details below before proceeding.
Warning: Account deletion is permanent and irreversible. Once your account is deleted, all data associated with it (including work orders, customers, invoices, estimates, timecards, and reports) cannot be recovered. Make sure you have exported any data you need before requesting deletion.
What Data Is Affected
When you delete your FieldPromax account, the following data is permanently removed:
- Work orders — All work orders, including completed and archived ones.
- Customers — All customer records, contact information, and service history.
- Estimates — All estimates, whether pending, approved, or declined.
- Invoices and payments — All invoice records and payment history. (Stripe payment records remain in your Stripe account.)
- Timecards and expenses — All timecard entries, expense submissions, and mileage logs.
- Users — All user accounts, including administrator and service provider profiles.
- Company settings — All configuration, branding, integrations, and notification preferences.
- Reports — All saved reports and dashboard data.
Before You Delete
Take these steps before requesting account deletion:
- Export your data — Run reports and export them as CSV or PDF files for your records. Pay special attention to customer lists, work order histories, invoice records, and timecard data.
- Disconnect integrations — If you have connected QuickBooks, Xero, Stripe, or Google Calendar, disconnect them from FieldPromax first. This prevents any sync errors after the account is removed.
- Inform your team — Let your service providers and administrators know that the account will be deleted. They will lose access to the mobile app and web portal.
- Cancel your subscription — If your subscription is still active, cancelling it before deletion ensures you are not charged for the next billing cycle. You can cancel from the Subscription & Plans page.
- Download receipts — If you need billing receipts for tax or accounting purposes, download them from your billing history before proceeding.
How to Request Account Deletion
- Log in to your FieldPromax account as the account Owner.
- Contact FieldPromax support to request account deletion. You can reach support by:
- Sending an email to info@fieldpromax.com
- Calling +1 (888) 249-9201
- In your request, include your account email address and company name for verification.
- The support team will verify your identity and confirm the deletion request.
- Once confirmed, your account and all associated data will be permanently deleted.
Result: Your account is permanently closed. You and all users on your account will no longer be able to log in. Your subscription is cancelled and no further charges will be made.
Data Retention Policy
After account deletion is processed:
- All account data is removed from FieldPromax's active databases.
- Backup copies may be retained for a limited period (typically 30 days) for disaster recovery purposes, after which they are permanently purged.
- Payment processing records stored by third-party providers (such as Stripe) are subject to their own retention policies and are not affected by FieldPromax account deletion.
- Any data you exported before deletion remains in your possession and is not affected.
Considering a pause instead? If you are not sure about permanent deletion, consider downgrading to a lower-cost plan or contacting support to discuss pausing your account. This preserves your data while reducing costs during slow periods.
Tip: Before requesting account deletion, export all critical data including customer lists, work order histories, invoices, and timecard records. Once the account is deleted, this data cannot be recovered, so having local copies protects you.
