The Google Calendar integration syncs your FieldPromax work order schedules to Google Calendar. Service providers and administrators can see their dispatch schedule in Google Calendar alongside their personal appointments, providing a unified view of their day.
Before you start:
- You need a Google account with Google Calendar enabled.
- Each user who wants calendar sync must connect their own Google account individually.
How to Access
Navigate to Integrations → Google Calendar.
Connect Your Google Account
- On the Google Calendar integration page, click Connect.
- A Google sign-in window opens. Select your Google account or sign in with your credentials.
- Google displays the permissions FieldPromax is requesting (access to manage your calendar events). Click Allow.
- You are redirected back to FieldPromax with the connection active.
Result: Your Google Calendar is now connected to FieldPromax. Scheduled work orders will appear as events on your calendar.
How Work Order Schedules Sync
Once connected, FieldPromax creates calendar events in your Google Calendar for work orders that are scheduled (dispatched) to you. Each event includes:
- The work order number and title.
- The customer name and service address.
- The scheduled start and end time.
- The assigned service provider.
When a work order is rescheduled or canceled in FieldPromax, the corresponding Google Calendar event is updated or removed automatically.
Multiple Calendar Support
If you have multiple Google Calendars associated with your account, FieldPromax syncs to your primary calendar by default. You can view these events alongside other calendars (personal, team, holiday) in the standard Google Calendar interface.
Sync Direction
The Google Calendar integration operates as a one-way sync from FieldPromax to Google Calendar. This means:
- Work orders dispatched in FieldPromax automatically appear in Google Calendar.
- Changes made in FieldPromax (rescheduling, canceling) are reflected in Google Calendar.
- Events created or modified directly in Google Calendar do not sync back to FieldPromax.
Always make scheduling changes in FieldPromax to keep both systems accurate. Google Calendar serves as a read-only view of your FieldPromax schedule.
Tip: Service providers who use the FieldPromax mobile app and Google Calendar can see their complete daily schedule on their phone by opening either app.
Disconnect Google Calendar
- On the Google Calendar integration page, click Disconnect.
- Confirm the disconnection when prompted.
Result: FieldPromax stops creating or updating calendar events. Existing events in Google Calendar remain but will no longer be updated.
