Text Message Settings

Enable SMS notifications to text your service providers when they are assigned a job, notify customers about upcoming appointments, and alert customers when the service provider is on the way.

Before you start:

  • You must be logged in as an administrator.
  • Ensure your users and customers have valid mobile phone numbers on file.

How to Access

Navigate to SettingsCompanyText Messages Config.

Enable the Text Message Service

  1. Toggle Text Message Notification Service to turn SMS functionality on or off for your entire company.

Result: When enabled, the notification configuration and message template sections appear below.

Notification Configuration

Choose which types of text messages you want to send. Each notification type can be toggled independently.

  1. Notify Service Provider By Text Message — sends an SMS to the assigned service provider when a schedule is created or updated.
  2. Notify Customer By Text Message — sends an SMS to the customer when their appointment is scheduled.
  3. Notify Customer when Service Provider is in Route — sends an SMS to the customer when the service provider taps "In Route" on the mobile app.

Message Templates

Customize the text of each SMS notification. Templates support dynamic parameters that are replaced with actual values when the message is sent.

  1. Edit the Template to notify Service Provider text area. This is the message service providers receive when assigned a job.
  2. Edit the Template to notify Customer text area. This is the message customers receive about their appointment.
  3. Edit the Template to notify Customer when Service Provider is in Route text area.

A list of Available template parameters is shown on the right side of the page. These include placeholders for customer name, address, date, time, and other job details. Insert them into your template by typing the parameter name exactly as shown.

Tip: Keep your messages concise. The total message length cannot exceed the character limit shown below each template. A character counter displays the current length as you type.

Schedule Reminder Notifications

Send automatic reminders before a scheduled appointment.

  1. Toggle Send a reminder to customer and set the reminder timing (for example, 1 day or 2 hours before the schedule).
  2. Toggle Send a reminder to service provider and set the reminder timing.
  3. For each reminder, choose the number of units (1 through 5) and the unit type (day(s) or hour(s)).

Result: Reminders are sent automatically at the configured time before each scheduled appointment.
