Email Setup configures the email accounts used by FieldPromax for lead notifications, marketing communications, and system messages. You can connect a Gmail or Outlook account through OAuth, verify your sender identity, and configure SendGrid for reliable email delivery.
Before you start:
- You need administrator access to configure email settings.
- Have your Gmail or Outlook account credentials ready for the OAuth connection.
How to Access
Navigate to Integrations → Email Setup, or navigate to Marketing → Settings → Email.
Connect Your Email Account
FieldPromax supports two email providers for the email connection: Gmail and Outlook. The connection uses OAuth authentication, which means FieldPromax never stores your email password.
Connect Gmail
- On the Email Setup page, select Gmail as your email provider.
- Click Connect to begin the OAuth flow.
- A Google sign-in window opens. Sign in with your Google account and grant FieldPromax permission to send emails on your behalf.
- You are redirected back to FieldPromax with the connection confirmed.
Connect Outlook
- On the Email Setup page, select Outlook as your email provider.
- Click Connect to begin the OAuth flow.
- A Microsoft sign-in window opens. Sign in with your Microsoft account and grant FieldPromax the necessary permissions.
- You are redirected back to FieldPromax with the connection confirmed.
Result: Your email account is connected and FieldPromax can send notifications and lead-related emails from your address.
Sender Verification
For marketing emails sent through SendGrid, you need to verify your sender identity. This ensures that your emails are properly authenticated and have the best chance of reaching your customers' inboxes.
- Navigate to Marketing → Automations → Sender Verification.
- Enter your sender name and email address.
- Complete the verification process by following the steps outlined in Audiences & Verification.
SendGrid Integration for Delivery
FieldPromax uses SendGrid as its email delivery infrastructure for marketing campaigns and automated emails. When you set up your marketing email account, FieldPromax provisions a SendGrid sub-user for your company. This ensures:
- High deliverability — SendGrid's infrastructure is optimized for email delivery with strong sender reputation.
- Tracking capabilities — open rates, click rates, and bounce tracking are handled automatically.
- Compliance — unsubscribe handling and CAN-SPAM compliance are built in.
- Scalability — whether you send 10 emails or 10,000, SendGrid handles the volume reliably.
Connection Types
The email setup supports two connection types that serve different purposes:
- Lead email connection — used for sending and receiving lead-related communications. When a new lead submits a form, notifications are sent through this connection.
- Marketing email connection — used for bulk email campaigns and drip sequences. This uses the SendGrid infrastructure for high-volume delivery.
Tip: Set up both connection types to get the full benefit of the FieldPromax email features. The lead email connection handles one-to-one communications, while the marketing connection powers your campaigns.
