Mobile App Settings

Control what service providers and all users can do on the FieldPromax mobile app, including creating work orders, capturing signatures, and sending invoices to your accounting software.

Before you start:

How to Access

Navigate to SettingsCompanyMobile App Config.

Settings for Service Providers

These toggles control what service providers can do from the mobile app. Adjust these based on how much autonomy you want field staff to have.

  1. Allow to create work orders — when enabled, service providers can create new work orders directly from the mobile app.
  2. Allow to create estimates — when enabled, service providers can create and send estimates from the field.
  3. Force to fill resolution before completing Work Complete — requires the service provider to enter a work resolution description before they can mark a job as complete.
  4. Force to fill start and finish times before completing Work Complete — requires the service provider to log their actual start and finish times.
  5. Force to get customer signature before completing Work Complete — requires a customer signature capture before the job can be marked complete.

Tip: Enabling the resolution and signature requirements ensures you have complete records for every job. This is especially useful for service businesses that need documentation for warranties or compliance.

Settings for All Users

These settings apply to all users (both administrators and service providers) when using the mobile app.

  1. Allow users to email work order/invoice to customers — enables the email button on mobile so users can send documents to customers directly from the field.
  2. Allow administrators to send invoice to QuickBooks from mobile — lets administrators push invoices to QuickBooks directly from the mobile app (this option only appears if schedule approval is not required).
  3. Show unassigned work orders — displays work orders that have not been assigned to any service provider in the mobile work order list.
  4. Show closed work orders — includes closed work orders in the mobile work order list for reference.

Saving Your Changes

  1. Toggle any setting on or off as needed.
  2. Click Save Changes in the toolbar.

Result: The changes take effect the next time a user opens or refreshes the mobile app.
