Drip Campaigns & Sequences

Drip sequences are multi-step automated email campaigns that send a series of emails on a defined schedule. You design each email step, set the delay between sends, assign audiences, and let FieldPromax deliver them automatically as new contacts are enrolled.

Before you start:

  • Activate email marketing and verify your sender in Audiences & Verification.
  • Create at least one audience to target with your drip sequence.

How to Access

Navigate to MarketingEmail MarketingSequences tab (rose/pink indicator).

Sequence Lifecycle

Every drip sequence moves through a defined set of statuses. Understanding these statuses helps you manage your sequences effectively.

  • Draft — the sequence is being designed and has not been activated. No badge is displayed.
  • Activating — the sequence is being prepared for delivery. A progress bar shows activation progress.
  • Active — the sequence is live and sending emails. The badge shows the current enrollment count.
  • Paused — sending is temporarily halted. The badge shows the enrollment count. Customers resume from where they left off when you reactivate.
  • Completed — all enrolled customers have received every email in the sequence.

Create a Drip Sequence

  1. On the Sequences tab, click the button to create a new sequence.
  2. Enter a Sequence Name in the creation modal (required, minimum 3 characters). Use a descriptive name such as "New Customer Onboarding."
  3. Optionally select a Template from the dropdown to start with a pre-built sequence structure.
  4. Click Create to proceed to the sequence editor.

Result: The sequence opens in the editor with a header showing a back button, a "Sequence" badge, and action buttons for Save, Activate/Resume, and Pause.

Configure Sequence Settings

The editor has two tabs: Campaign Settings and Audience Members. Start with Campaign Settings.

Sequence Settings Card

  1. Review or update the Sequence Name and Description.
  2. Select a verified sender from the From dropdown.
  3. Use the Audience Selection multi-select to choose one or more audiences. Customers in these audiences are automatically enrolled when the sequence is active.

When a sequence is active, you must pause it before modifying audiences. An informational message reminds you to "Pause to modify audiences."

Email Timeline Card

  1. Click Add Email to create a new step in the sequence.
  2. Enter an Email Name to identify this step internally.
  3. Enter a Subject Line for the email.
  4. Compose the Body using the rich text editor.
  5. Set the Delay amount and type (hours, days, weeks, or months). This controls how long to wait after the previous email before sending this one. The first email typically uses a delay of zero.
  6. Repeat for each email you want in the sequence. Each step appears as an expandable accordion showing the email name, subject preview, and delay summary (for example, "3 Days after previous email").
  7. Use the Edit and Delete buttons on each step to modify or remove emails.

Tip: Use AI Email Generation to automatically generate email content for your drip sequences. The AI can create a full multi-step sequence tailored to your customer segments.

Start the Sequence

When your sequence is ready, click Activate (green button). A confirmation modal appears with a summary of what will happen.

  1. Review the Timeline Preview showing your numbered email steps (up to 5 visible, with an "X more" indicator for longer sequences) and the calculated total duration.
  2. Choose When to start enrollment: select Start immediately or Schedule for later and provide a start date and time.
  3. Optionally select a Target Audience. Choose "All eligible customers" or pick a specific audience to see the estimated enrollment count.
  4. Review the Summary card showing the sequence name, number of emails, total duration, timing, audience, and estimated enrollments.
  5. Click Start Sequence to begin enrollment.

Result: The sequence status changes to Activating (with a progress bar) and then to Active once enrollment is complete.

Pause and Resume

  1. To temporarily halt a running sequence, click Pause (yellow button). All pending emails are held.
  2. To restart a paused sequence, click Resume (green button). Customers continue from where they left off.

View Audience Members

Click the Audience Members tab to see who is enrolled in the sequence. Filter by audience using the dropdown, and review the grid showing each member's name, email, phone, and enrollment status. The grid supports sorting and pagination.
