Manage your company vehicle list for fleet tracking and mileage reporting. Define user skills to match service providers with jobs that require specific expertise.
Before you start:
- You must be logged in as an administrator.
- For mileage tracking with vehicles, enable Mileage Tracking in Feature Flags.
How to Access
- Vehicles: Navigate to Manage Lists → Vehicles.
- User Skills: Navigate to Manage Lists → User Skills.
Vehicles
The vehicle list tracks your company fleet. Vehicles can be assigned to service providers and used for mileage tracking on work orders.
Adding a Vehicle
- Navigate to the Vehicles page.
- Click Create Vehicle in the toolbar.
- Enter the vehicle details (for example, "2024 Ford Transit - Unit #15").
- Click Save.
Result: The vehicle appears in the list and can be assigned to service providers. When mileage tracking is enabled, service providers select their vehicle when logging miles for a job.
Editing and Deleting Vehicles
- Click the Edit button to update a vehicle's information.
- Click the Delete button to remove a vehicle from the list.
Tip: Include the vehicle unit number or license plate in the name for easy identification. For example, "2024 Ford Transit (ABC-1234)" makes it clear which physical vehicle the record represents.
User Skills
Skills represent specific expertise areas (for example, "HVAC Certified", "Licensed Electrician", "Plumbing - Commercial"). Assigning skills to service providers helps dispatchers assign the right person to each job.
Adding a Skill
- Navigate to the User Skills page.
- Click Create Skill in the toolbar.
- Enter the skill name (for example, "EPA 608 Certified" or "Backflow Prevention").
- Click Save.
Result: The skill is available to assign to service providers through their user profile.
