Look up equipment by barcode scan or manual search, view equipment details on your mobile device, and submit referrals directly from the Field Promax Plus app.
Before you start:
- You must be logged in to the Field Promax Plus app.
- Equipment records must exist in the Equipment Catalog for lookups to return results.
How to Access
Tap the Menu icon and select Equipment from the side menu to access the equipment lookup. For referrals, select Referrals from the side menu.
Look Up Equipment by Barcode Scan
- Open the Equipment section from the side menu.
- Tap the Scan Barcode button.
- Point your device's camera at the barcode label on the equipment.
- The app reads the barcode and looks up the matching equipment record.
- The equipment detail page opens with all information about the asset.
Result: You see the equipment name, number, description, custom field values, and the list of work orders where this equipment has been serviced.
Search Equipment Manually
- On the Equipment page, use the search bar at the top.
- Type the equipment name, number, or description.
- Tap on a result to open the equipment detail.
View Equipment Details on Mobile
The equipment detail page on mobile displays:
- Display Name and Equipment Number.
- Description with any relevant technical information.
- Custom Fields — all configured fields such as manufacturer, model, warranty date, and meter readings.
- Service History — a list of all work orders linked to this equipment.
You can tap any work order in the history to jump directly to that work order's detail page.
Submit Referrals from Mobile
Referrals allow service providers to recommend customers or leads directly from the field:
- Navigate to Referrals from the side menu.
- Tap Create Referral.
- Enter the referred person's Name, Phone, and Email.
- Add any Notes about the referral (for example, "Neighbor of customer at 123 Main St, needs HVAC service").
- Tap Submit.
Result: The referral is recorded in the system. Administrators can view, follow up on, and convert referrals into customers or work orders from the web interface.
View Existing Referrals
On the Referrals page, you see a list of all referrals you have submitted. Tap any referral to open its detail page and see its current status, contact information, and any follow-up notes added by the office.
Tip: Submitting referrals on the spot while talking to potential customers leads to higher conversion rates. The mobile app makes it quick to capture contact details before they are forgotten.
