Work Groups & Priorities

Create work groups to organize service providers into teams and define priority levels to classify work orders by urgency. Both features help your dispatch team manage work more effectively.

Before you start:

How to Access

  • Work Groups: Navigate to Manage ListsWork Groups.
  • Priorities: Navigate to Manage ListsPriorities.

Work Groups

Work groups let you organize service providers into logical teams. For example, you might create groups based on trade (HVAC Team, Plumbing Team), geography (North Region, South Region), or experience level (Senior Technicians, Apprentices).

Adding a Work Group

  1. Navigate to the Work Groups page.
  2. Click Create Work Group in the toolbar.
  3. Enter a Name for the group (for example, "HVAC Team" or "Emergency Response").
  4. Click Save.

Result: The work group is available when creating or editing user profiles. You can assign each service provider to a work group.

Assigning Users to Work Groups

After creating work groups, assign service providers by editing their profile in Manage Users. Select the appropriate work group from the dropdown on the user edit form.

Tip: Use work groups to filter the dispatch calendar. When you have many service providers, filtering by work group lets you see only the relevant team members.

Priorities

Priority levels classify work orders by urgency. This helps your team focus on the most critical jobs first and provides useful data for reporting.

Adding a Priority Level

  1. Navigate to the Priorities page.
  2. Click Create Priority in the toolbar.
  3. Enter a Name for the priority (for example, "Emergency", "High", "Normal", or "Low").
  4. Click Save.

Result: The priority level is available in the priority dropdown when creating or editing work orders.

Using Priorities on Work Orders

When creating a work order, select a priority from the dropdown. You can then filter and sort the work order list by priority to ensure urgent jobs are addressed first. For example, filtering by "Emergency" shows only critical work orders that need immediate attention.
